SUYS: Weekly Update! 7/10/15

July 10th, 2015

Hey Hey Hey everyone! It's been another wild week here at SUYS and we thought we'd give you a quick update on what we've been up to!

First up, Newcomer Jade gives her thoughts on the comic Groot #1

"Groot and Rocket Raccoon are hitchhiking through the galaxy in Groot #1 written by Jeff Loveness and Brian Kesinger. After their ship blows up, Groot and Rocket are stranded in space. Much to Rocket’s dislike, all Groot is trying to do is get back to Earth. Rocket, always loyal to his friends, figures that might be better than being stranded. So, they do what anyone would do...start hitchhiking. But wherever they go, trouble seems to follow close behind."

Mackenzie Portfolio is back with some issues facing gamers who can't seem to open up their minds a bit.

"On June 26, 2015 the United States made the historic decision to legalize same-sex marriage and social media exploded with fabulous rainbows. Friends, family, complete strangers, corporations (including IGN) changed their profile picture to include a rainbow filter to show their support. I’m not gay but even I was overwhelmed with the excitement at the support our nation seemed to be showing. That is, until I started reading the comments under the IGN profile picture."

And Frank Mitchell has dried his eyes long enough to tell you guys his thoughts of Inside Out from Pixar!

"Let me save you the suspense: Yes, Inside Out will probably make you shed a few tears as long as you aren't cold and dead inside. This seems to be a return to form for Pixar, a company who looked like they were veering dangerously into the realm of "Bad Sequel Land" with no plan for escape. What struck me about this film was how it manages to create a platform for children to refer to when they start maturing and having more complex reactions to the events in their lives. A child now has a film to point to when they can't quite explain how they feel. Most importantly, it conveys the point that all your emotions are important. ALL of them, including sadness, anger, fear and disgust. Grab some tissues and have a look!"

We also have our latest reviews up by Teddy Spaghetti Lawrence and Michael J. Foy! Have a read and see what the hell they're reading or listening to this week!

That's all from us here at SUYS! Here's the teaser Trailer for the upcoming movie The Gallows (July 10th, That's TODAY!) and go check it out if it tickles your fancy!
