Space. SPACE!? SPAAAAAAAAAACE!!

September 5th, 2014

Let’s go to the red one!

According to NASA, we’re heading for Mars. Yup. Mars. That’s the little red one which is, at it’s closest point to the Earth, 54.6. Million Kilometers away (or 33,926,866 miles). Driving at 70mph, you could make it there in about 55 years, if you didn’t sleep. It’d also be dark, quiet, lonely, and you can’t exactly get out to change drivers. Plus, the tolls are a bitch. According to NASA officials, a budget has been decided on to get humans on Mars by the 2030’s, barring any setbacks. The $7 billion system is scheduled for its first test launch in November of 2018.
