Whilst scouring the internet in my endless pursuit for new and interesting content (especially of the musical variety), I came across something seriously amazing. This band here is from Finland. They are a metal band that call themselves “Hevisaurus.” I don’t think I have ever smiled wider after reading what their purpose is. This band dedicates their time to writing children’s music for a genre that has alienated children (at least the American ones) from it’s fanbases for so long. Not only is the music intelligent and driven by classical elements, it’s also very catchy and listenable. It looks like the music is also educational in content, as well, which is a beautiful thing!

Finally, and perhaps the most impressive thing about this group, is that the five members dress up in cartoon-like dinosaur suits for their performances and music video releases. Could you imagine if Barney sang screamo, or if the Teletubbies performed gangsta rap? It truly is an amazing expansion on an artform from our childhoods that hits me right in the feels. HARD.
