That's right, Folks! The latest Trailer for the Nickelodeon/Platinum Dunes TMNT reboot has dropped! We got our first look at The Shredder and, good lord, is he a big one! While the film looks to be another decent re-telling of the 3 Ninjas storyline (even right down to the line "Together, you are stronger than he could ever be", the child in me is Ninja-Turtling the shit out of reason and common sense on this one. I am worried to admit that I'm excited for this. I'm scared, yet elated to see another semi-live action Turtles movie. Maybe not one starring Megan Fox, or one with as many jokes and bits of comedic relief, but dammit, it's a Turtles movie nonetheless!

Despite the attempt to show us the entire story, as well as filling in the paper-thin plot with those bass tones that accompany every Michael Bay trailer, I can't help but be reminded of the wise words of Jessica Spano:

"I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so... scared."

Directed by Johnathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans & Darkness Falls) and Starring Megan Fox (...yay), William Fichtner, Johnny Knoxville, Will Arnett, Tony Shaloub, Jeremy Howard and Noel Fisher, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on August 8th, 2014.
