H.R. Giger has passed away

May 13th, 2014
Huffingtonpost.com reported on May 13th, at 5:09 am, that H.R. Giger has passed away. The artist who designed the iconic xenomorph from the film series "Alien" passed away at the age of 74, due to complications following a fall.
As a child in Switzerland, his father pushed him to learn a true trade, and his mother nurtured his passion for art. This great infusion is what few have said to be responsible for his ideas of infusing biological components with industrial elements.
Even though he has tried to distance himself from his designs on screen due to his frustration with the system of Hollywood, he always held a soft spot for those who chose to tattoo themselves with his artwork.
"To wear something like that your whole life is the largest compliment someone can pay to you as an artist."
-Secons magazine, 1994.
Rest in Peace, Mr. H.R. Giger.
